About the Express Entry draw tracker
This free tool visualizes every Canada Express Entry round of invitations using official data published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In each draw, IRCC invites the highest-ranked candidates in the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residence and publishes the CRS cut-off score, the number of invitations issued (ITAs), the draw category, and the current pool score distribution. This tracker charts those figures over time so you can see how CRS cut-offs, draw sizes, and the candidate pool are changing after each round.

What is the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)?
The CRS is the points-based system IRCC uses to rank candidates in the Express Entry pool, out of a maximum of 1,200 points. Points come from factors such as age, education, official-language ability, and work experience, plus additional factors like a provincial nomination or French-language proficiency.
What is the CRS cut-off score in an Express Entry draw?
The cut-off is the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited in a given round. Everyone at or above the cut-off score, subject to the tie-breaking rule, receives an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
How often does IRCC hold Express Entry draws?
IRCC typically holds a round of invitations about every two weeks, though the timing and size vary. Draws can be general, program-specific, or category-based.
What is the tie-breaking rule?
When more candidates share the cut-off score than there are invitations available, the tie is broken by the date and time each candidate submitted their Express Entry profile. Candidates who entered the pool earlier are invited first.
What are category-based Express Entry draws?
Category-based draws invite candidates with attributes tied to Canada's economic goals, such as French-language proficiency or work experience in healthcare, trades, STEM, agriculture, or transport occupations. These draws often have lower CRS cut-offs than general rounds.
